Blog Action Day 2012 #BAD12

Blog Action Day; brings together bloggers from different countries, interests and languages to blog about one important global topic on the same day since 2007.
This year’s theme is “The Power of We“, a celebration of people working together to make a positive difference in the world, their countries or for people they will never meet all around the world. Thousands of bloggers, from hundreds countries have registered for this day.

I would like to use this opportunity to tell you about the project  “Semra Is Calling”

After last October’s earthquake destroyed the southeastern Turkish city of Van and a majority of the buildings at Yuzuncu Yil University, Turkish Philantrophy Funds and donors reacted.

Funds were raised and ground was broken to rebuild the heart of the university. As classes resume, only students with the means to commute to school can attend. It has been brought to attention, that the students need dorms. Without a safe place to sleep and study, students cannot attend school. Semra is a student at the university, and she is calling you for help.

Answering Semra’s Call: Rebuilding dorms at Van’s Yuzuncu Yil University. Turkish Philantrophy Funds’s Young Professionals are hosting an event to answer her call.
Please join them HERE  and show the world “The Power of We”
